In a broadcast aired on Radio Biafra over the weekend, Kanu, who is currently on exile in Israel said mothers would be raped during the terror attacks.

Quoting Kanu, “You think I am joking. They are coming. Your mothers will be raped. Your sisters will be married off as slaves. Biafra land will be decimated unless we equip this army.

“The worst is yet to come and more innocent people will lose their lives if community leaders fail to do the needful.

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu has warned of imminent terror attacks and death in Nigeria.

Kanu warned that the dreaded Islamist State for Iraq and Syria, ISIS, would soon take their bloodletting campaign to Nigeria’s territory.

In a broadcast aired on Radio Biafra over the weekend, Kanu, who is currently on exile in Israel said mothers would be raped during the terror attacks.

The IPOB leader said more Nigerians will be killed if leaders fail to carry out their responsibilities.

According to Kanu, “You think I am joking. They are coming. Your mothers will be raped. Your sisters will be married off as slaves. Biafra land will be decimated unless we equip this army.

“The worst is yet to come and more innocent people will lose their lives if community leaders fail to do the needful.

“I have the men. I need guns and I need bullets. That is all we need, and then we will win. I have been sounding this warning, and I have been telling you, ‘osi na ofu nti banye, osi na ko ozo puo”.

Kanu claimed that Boko Haram has an alliance with ISIS and that the group has lost confidence in President Muhammadu Buhari.

“Buhari was their god-father, they no longer trust him. I mean Boko-Haram, in this instance. Buhari they thought will give them sharia immediately. When Buhari said, “I don’t belong to anybody’’, from that day they intensified their bombing.”

“They will enter the zoo from Chad, very very shortly, not as Boko Haram. They are coming in as their franchise and as their name dictates. ISIS is coming,” he added.

It should be worthy of note that following the recent attacks of military base in the north east, the army Authorities have come out severally to confirm that ISIS and ISWAP is responsible for the success of these attacks.

Even if you take the cash payout of $904 million, you’ll still have a nice chunk of change.

The Mega Millions winning numbers page updated around 4 a.m. to reflect there was just one winner for the jackpot.

The next estimated jackpot has also reset to $40 million. That drawing is on Friday.

Tuesday’s drawing wasn’t a record breaker, but it’s still a nice chunk of change. If the winner chooses the cash payout option, he or she walks away with $904 million.

If no one had won the massive jackpot, that would have brought Friday’s jackpot potential to $2 billion, which carries a cash payout option of $1.142 billion, according to the Texas Lottery.

US Midterm elections 2018 : Republicans vs Democrats, Tax vs Health

US Midterm elections 2018

US Midterm elections 2018

The 2018 midterms will feature over 500 races for federal office and governor’s mansions, let alone thousands of others for state and local office. Democrats are in a strong position to take back the House and still have hopes of regaining their majority in the United States Senate and winning a number of governorships.

But there are still over 50 days before election day and recent years are filled with countless examples of political upsets in American elections.

These key races represent a slice of some of the most competitive and compelling contests in November. Although by no means an exhaustive list of the races that will determine the political complexion of the next few years, this gives a sampling of those for the House, for the Senate and for governorships that observers will be paying to on election day

2018 elections in the United States will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, except for certain special elections. All these races, regardless if it is for a federal, state, or local office, are being administered by the individual state and local governments instead of at the national or federal level.

These midterm elections will take place in the middle of Republican President Donald Trump’s first term. All 435 seats in the United States House of Representatives and 35 of the 100 seats in the United States Senate will be contested. In addition, 39 state and territorial governorships as well as numerous other state and local elections will also be contested.

President Trump and officials campaigning

In May 2018, President Trump began to emphasize his effort to overcome the traditional strength of the non-presidential party in midterm elections, with “top priority for the White House [being to hold] the Republican majority in the Senate”.

He was already at that time well into his own 2020 reelection campaign, having launched it on inauguration day, 2017. In May, on a trip to Texas for a Houston fundraiser targeting the midterms, he also held a fundraising dinner in Dallas for the 2020 campaign.

By early August, the president’s midterm efforts had included rallies in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida, Montana and elsewhere “reprising the style and rhetoric of his 2016 campaign”.

Democrats “need to flip 23 seats to capture the speaker’s gavel”, USA Today put it. The President was addressing the economy, the border wall, the “trade war”, “don’t believe anything” and the space force in the rallies, per the report.

Midterms: Is Russia still meddling in US elections?

BBC News’s Suzanne Kianpour investigates claims that Russia is meddling in the run-up to the US midterms.

She spoke to two BBC journalists, World Affairs Correspondent Paul Wood and Security Correspondent Gordon Corera about the credibility of the allegations and how Russia might be tapping into the United States’ weaknesses.

Key Question On The MidTerms

he key question in these elections is: will Republicans will be able to keep control of both chambers of Congress? Just 35 of the 100 seats in the Senate, and all of the 435 seats in the lower House of Representatives are up for grabs.

To take control of the legislative agenda and block Trump’s ability to implement his programs, the Democratic party needs to control both houses. With a Senate majority, the Democrats would be able to block cabinet and supreme court appointments.

But while they may be able to take the House, clinching the Senate will be much harder. Impeachment, by the way, requires a two-thirds majority in the Senate, so would require Republican votes even if the Democrats won every available seat in November.

How do the midterms work?

All 435 seats in the House of Representatives will be voted on in November. Representatives serve two-year terms so the entire house will face re-election in 2020.

Some 35 out of the Senate’s 100 seats will be on the ballot and 36 state governors are up for election. Senators hold four-year terms.

Gubernatorial elections

Governors hold powerful positions since they control huge budgets and implement their state’s laws.

Republicans currently control 33 out of 50 governorships and two-thirds of 99 state legislature chambers.

Some 36 governorships are being elected this November and Democrats are targeting the 23 which have Republican incumbents up for re-election.

Key races to watch are in Ohio, Michigan, Florida and Pennsylvania – key swing states in the presidential elections. Governors in those states will be crucial to mobilising party activists and raising donations for the 2020 race.

How will they affect Donald Trump’s presidency?

The elections will shape US politics for at least the next two years. A Republican-controlled Congress will make the final two years of Mr Trump’s first term much smoother – giving him the power to continue funding his border wall with Mexico, pass further tax cuts and make another attempt to repeal Obamacare.

If Democrats regain control, they will fiercely oppose a number of Mr Trump’s key policies. If they win enough seats, the Democrats could kill the Republican legislative agenda on Capitol Hill.

A Democratic majority would also see the party gain seats on Congressional committees with the power to investigate the Trump administration.
